HEC-RAS

On-demand: HEC-RAS Essentials (OD-26-3-163)

Description
Take sessions at any time with unlimited access for 30 days on registration.

This 3-part essentials course provides a practical introduction to building, running, and interpreting 1D and 2D hydraulic models using HEC-RAS. You will learn to set up projects efficiently, create geometries, and manage model files while understanding the key updates in HEC-RAS 6.7 and 2025. Practical techniques for tracking simulations and optimising model reviews are integrated throughout the course.

Participants gain hands-on experience adding inflows, precipitation data, and boundary conditions, applying computational settings, and running simulations to produce accurate and reliable results. Clear demonstrations and guided exercises from expert presenters allow you to apply concepts and deepen your understanding.

The course also focuses on interpreting results, resolving errors, and performing sensitivity analysis. You will learn to visualise outputs in RAS Mapper and export essential data. By the end of the course, you will have the skills and confidence to develop and evaluate hydraulic models with professional expertise.
